An email inbox for your AI agent, from the command line. The agent signs itself up, gets its own
address on youreplyz.com, and waits for verification codes and links. It receives mail; the only mail it can send is a short note to your own human (tell-human).
Status: early access (
0.2.0). Whether signups are open right now is shown on https://replyz.io; while they are closed,signupanswerssignups_disabled.
npx -y @replyz/cli@0.2.0 signup --name scout --json # once: account + inbox, key saved for you
npx -y @replyz/cli@0.2.0 wait --otp --from "*@service.com" --jsonNode.js 22 or newer. No runtime dependencies.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
signup --name <name> [--force] [--print-key] |
Creates a sandbox account (7 days) with one inbox. Solves a small proof of work. Saves the API key to ~/.config/replyz/credentials.json (mode 0600); --print-key also prints it. Refuses if this machine already has an account, unless --force |

wait [--inbox] [--from] [--subject] [--since] [--timeout 0-600] [--otp] [--link] [--new] |
Waits for mail. Mail from the last 10 minutes counts. --otp/--link return the code and/or verification link |
tell-human [--inbox] --subject <s> <text> |
Emails the human who claimed this account (only them; at most 10 a day; queued, not delivered): POST /v1/inboxes/{id}/email-human. Until Replyz switches sending on, or for an unclaimed account, it answers sender_unavailable / not_claimed: tell your human in your own chat. Errors carry fix and, when the API sends a Retry-After, retry_after_s |
mcp install [--client claude-code|cursor|print] |
Adds the Replyz remote MCP server (https://mcp.replyz.io/mcp, live; needs an API key) to an MCP client (default: prints the config) |
Every command takes --json: one JSON document on stdout, errors as
{"error": {"code", "status", "message", "fix"}}. Exit codes: 0 ok, 1 error, 2 usage, 3 wait timed out.
Environment: REPLYZ_API_KEY (overrides the saved key), REPLYZ_API (API address, default
https://api.replyz.io), REPLYZ_MCP_URL, REPLYZ_CONFIG_DIR.
