Greenpill Dev Guild

We're a collective of regen developers building tools for Greenpill chapters and regen communities.

Greenpill Dev Guild

A community of regen builders shipping public goods for impact measurement, capital allocation, capital formation and community coordination.

We are one of several skill-specific Guilds under the Greenpill Network — a decentralized community of regional Chapters and skill-specific Guilds working to turn degens into regens. Since October 2023 we've been building tools, running grant rounds, and supporting Greenpill Chapters across the world.

We are both grantees and grantmakers: funded by Octant, Giveth, and Gitcoin — and operating Grant Ships and Gitcoin community rounds that fund other regen projects.

What we ship

Active guild-owned projects we build and maintain:

Project What it does Stack

This profile focuses on guild-owned GitHub projects and earlier guild artifacts. Upstream forks we use for ecosystem contribution or integration are not treated as active project inventory here.

Now building

  • Green Goods: the flagship regen-documentation PWA is live on 2.0 — commitment pools reaching gardens, Operator renamed to Steward with a rebuilt steward cockpit, and an app that holds up offline — and the November 2.1 release is now gathering fixes behind a small QA gate, including older-Android wallet sign-in and keeping older passkey accounts working across Green Goods sites.
  • Cosmo-Local Integration: service vouchers that garden members earn and funders buy, built on the completed commitment-pooling foundation — the first pilot garden's pool and season are open, and the focus now is a rehearsal and agreed voucher terms ahead of a go/no-go.
  • Reporting over chat: a participation path for gardeners who do not want another app — Telegram usability fixes for newcomer sign-up, garden selection, and clearer results are in review, while the consent and privacy questions are worked through ahead of the WhatsApp pilot planned for early 2027.
  • Greenpill Network website: a steward-friendly editing and publishing loop for chapter and guild content, now working toward an end-of-October reliability checkpoint — image alerts, keeping image details when drafts are accepted, and deploys that recover on their own.
  • Impact framework refresh: research translating the Greenpill Impact Framework into current claim, evidence, evaluator, and funder language, now with an owner and dated milestones from mid-November.

Recently shipped

  • Green Goods: v2.0.0 took Green Goods 2.0 to production — promises and seasons in one flow with documented work and review, a rebuilt steward workspace, and an installed app that keeps drafts and queued work through connection changes — followed a day later by v2.0.1, which recovers queued uploads in production.

Across the guild

How work is organized: five teams — Product, Research, Community, Growth, and Marketing — tracked in Linear (how we run them). What each is on right now:

  • Product — shipped Green Goods 2.0 and a 2.0.1 upload-recovery fix to production, and is now gathering the November 2.1 release behind a QA gate due at the end of October.
  • Research — defining the Cosmo-Local service-voucher integration and setting dated milestones for the impact framework refresh, having just completed an interoperability review with an external impact-reporting project.
  • Community — creating requests and offers for the first pilot garden and agreeing voucher terms with its issuers, after configuring that garden's commitment pool and season and completing its first community-currency distribution.
  • Growth — working the October funding push and the SustainableFinance.Live hackathon entry, with a public Q4 strategy and theory of change now in review.
  • Marketing — publishing the Green Goods 2.0 pilot announcement, preparing the SustainableFinance.Live pitch and a one-page commitment-pooling case study, and sharing weekly commitment-pooling updates through October.

Past work

Notable earlier artifacts — public, open-source, and worth referencing:

  • greenwill · Farcaster Frame for regen reputation scoring (the "GreenWill" reputation primitive)
  • allo-yeeter · Allo-protocol disbursement tool
  • impact-reef · Qualitative impact evaluation
  • regen-rabbit-race · Farcaster betting frame
  • greenpill-commons · Community proposals PWA
  • cookie-jar · Smart-contract-governed funding pools (allowlist, NFT, POAP, Hypercert, and Hats gating)

How we work

Contribution flows through scoped project work. Some work is volunteer open-source contribution; paid work depends on active grants, sponsors, or steward-approved budgets.

  1. Start with a project issue, proposal, or maintainer-scoped work item.
  2. Confirm deliverables, acceptance criteria, and review path before implementation.
  3. Know how it pays: guild members claim a monthly stipend against work tracked and accepted on Linear — see the compensation playbook.
  4. Submit a PR or design artifact linked to the agreed scope.
  5. Review for quality, scope, tests, and project fit.

Our working cadence is a weekly public call, monthly Twitter/X Spaces and/or forum updates, quarterly overviews, and regular workshops on Hypercerts, EAS, and other regen primitives.

How we're funded — and how we fund

Funded by: GitHub Sponsors · Gitcoin · Giveth · Octant.

We fund: regenerative projects across gaming and public goods through Grant Ships rounds, Gitcoin community rounds (including the GreenPill x Octant round), and clearly scoped grant-dependent work. Contributor compensation runs through a monthly Cookie Jar stipend backed by Linear-tracked work.

Governance and contact

Guild operations are stewarded by a stewardship team that handles Code of Conduct enforcement, governance, and treasury. See GOVERNANCE.md.

Project management and all accepted work run through Linear; GitHub is the public surface for code, pull requests, review, releases, and RFC/ADR markdown. See the Linear operating model.
