Drop workflow_call and the skip-ci trailer so a binary commit pushes normally and the image build starts from that push. Co-authored-by: Darren Oh <darrenoh@users.noreply.github.com>
The matrix job already selects the architecture, so the build script compiles a native binary and no longer takes an architecture argument. Co-authored-by: Darren Oh <darrenoh@users.noreply.github.com>
Cache the latest commit that changed that directory, cancel a run already in progress, and drop the helper scripts that repeated the same checks. Co-authored-by: Darren Oh <darrenoh@users.noreply.github.com>
Give the commit job contents write permission and use that token for the push. GHCR_TOKEN remains the credential that reads devpanel/cli. Co-authored-by: Darren Oh <darrenoh@users.noreply.github.com>
Restore workflow_call now that the workflow token's push does not start another image build. Return the commit that contains the binaries. Co-authored-by: Darren Oh <darrenoh@users.noreply.github.com>
Remove workflow_call so the binary rebuild runs only from Run workflow and does not return a commit to a caller. Co-authored-by: Darren Oh <darrenoh@users.noreply.github.com>

Summary
Adds a standalone workflow that rebuilds the DevPanel CLI from devpanel/cli
cmd/devpanel-client. This pull request is based onmainand does not change the image build workflow or any Dockerfile.update-devpanel-cli.ymlruns from Run workflow. It looks up the latest commit that changedcmd/devpanel-clientand checks the Actions cache for that commit. A cache hit skips the build. A cache miss builds both binaries in parallel and commits them with the workflow token (contents: write):base/bin/devpanel-amd64onubuntu-26.04base/bin/devpanel-arm64onubuntu-26.04-armGHCR_TOKENreadsdevpanel/cli. A new run cancels one already in progress. Thedevpanel/clicheckout is placed under the runner temp directory, outside this repository. To rebuild a commit that is already cached, delete that cache entry. A commit that changes only another directory indevpanel/clileaves these binaries as they are.Test plan
GHCR_TOKENcan readdevpanel/cli. Confirmbase/bin/devpanel-amd64andbase/bin/devpanel-arm64are committed and a second run skips the build.
