TLDR

  • devvit/README.md moves to devvit/DEVELOPING.md.
  • New devvit/README.md, PRIVACY.md, and TERMS.md for Reddit app review, written from the code in devvit/src.
  • The README follows Reddit's README requirements: overview first, then setup for each setting, menu, permissions, support, and changelog.
  • TERMS adds no restriction on the GPL-3.0 code and says Reddit's terms control. It states "Not an official Reddit product".

Likely review blocker

The app does not delete stored rows when a post, comment, or account is deleted. targetAuthor, permalink, and reason stay in Redis and on the wiki page until retention ends. Reddit's Devvit Rules say any retention of deleted content, even anonymized, is a violation. The docs state this plainly. Smallest code fix: declare onPostDelete and onCommentDelete in devvit.json, and on a user or admin deletion blank those three fields on matching rows, then force a rebuild. onAccountDelete is not in the public trigger list, so a 30-day default retention is the fallback.

Limits

  • devvit/package.json says BSD-3-Clause; the repo license is GPL-3.0. Not changed here.
  • Governing law in TERMS is left blank for a lawyer.
  • Whether Reddit purges Redis on uninstall is not confirmed in Reddit's docs; PRIVACY marks it [unverified].
  • Not legal advice. No devvit upload or publish was run.

Move the developer README to DEVELOPING.md. The new README, PRIVACY.md,
and TERMS.md follow the Devvit Rules README requirements and document
that stored rows are not yet scrubbed when content or accounts are deleted.
