fern/advanced/sip/sip-volai.mdx(slugadvanced/sip/volai).gateways(IP81.31.45.0, netmask24, no credentials), importing the number, thesip:+420...@<credentialId>.sip.vapi.airouting address for US and EU, a test call, the three most common failure causes, and a settings reference. Outbound calls are intentionally not covered.fern/docs.yml, after Amazon Chime SDK.Who we are: volai is a Czech telephony platform (volai.cz, operated by ANOVIA Finance s.r.o.) that issues Czech and Slovak numbers. Vapi's free numbers are US-only, so customers who need a Czech or Slovak number bring their own over a BYO SIP trunk.
The inbound setup described here (volai's range in the trunk's
gateways, no credentials, number routed to<credentialId>.sip.vapi.ai) has been verified with live inbound calls in production, most recently in October 2026. The unauthenticated shape matters: with a username and password set on the volai side, the same trunk never connected a call, so the guide says to leave them empty.The JSON bodies use only fields from the public API reference (
