… cover the screen - vendor/smithay: Smithay 0.7.0 with async page flips (DrmCompositor:: set_tearing, DrmSurface::page_flip_tearing; refused flips wait for vblank as before), used through [patch.crates-io] - wp-tearing-control: a fullscreen window that asks for it (or any, with the Settings app's allow_tearing = fullscreen) tears; "no" never - a window that starts fullscreen (or an X11 one without decorations the size of the screen, as Wine games open) goes to the screen's corner; one that starts maximized fills the work area - a fullscreen window covers the top panels (the dock): drawn and hit above them - drm-vm.sh: a fullscreen window with tearing allowed (vkms refuses async flips: the fallback) Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01GAz5W8XQ7Q7is8VJC6kY4d
…; SegLinux desktop name - dragging a window to the top edge maximizes it, to a side edge a half, to a corner a quarter, with a tinted preview; dragging a maximized or snapped window gives its size back under the pointer; a double click on a title bar maximizes or restores; the title bar stays on screen - windows with our title bars resize from an invisible 8 px border - pointer shapes: named icons from the theme at the screen's scale (resize arrows, grabbing), cursor-shape for applications, the arrow again off a surface or on entering one (it kept the last client's) - fixed a freeze: maximizing from a grab's release asked the locked pointer for its position; now done once the grab has ended - a restored window returns to where the drag began - seglinux-session: XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=SegLinux on our compositor - tests: mouse.py, a uinput mouse in the DRM VM test (udevd started) Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01GAz5W8XQ7Q7is8VJC6kY4d
NetworkManager wifi.powersave = 2 for every connection, and the drivers' own sleep modes off (iwlmvm power_scheme=1; rtw88, rtw89, rtlwifi and mt7921e power saving and ASPM off; every option checked with modinfo). TCP buffers up to 16 MiB for fast downloads from far away. The update applies the sysctl settings and reloads NetworkManager's configuration at once; the driver options take effect after a restart. - a drag or resize that ends any way (window closed, another grab, terminal switch) clears the snap preview and the pointer shape; a window closed while dragged ends the drag instead of being mapped again - closed windows leave the other-workspace and minimized lists; an X11 window that hides itself (Steam to its tray) is no longer shown again by a workspace switch - a crashed video player's idle inhibitor no longer keeps the screen awake forever - an X11 window counts as fullscreen at start only when it is exactly the screen, at its corner, borderless and not maximized (big applications are left alone) Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01GAz5W8XQ7Q7is8VJC6kY4d

Ubuntu's 7.0 kernel has no linux-modules-extra package; install it only where it exists and check that vkms is there. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01GAz5W8XQ7Q7is8VJC6kY4d
…iso] [build lite iso] seglinux-compositor: snap by dragging to edges and corners, resize borders, pointer shapes, tearing for games, windows that start fullscreen, a freeze and other bugs fixed; Wi-Fi power saving off; the DRM VM CI job on newer Ubuntu kernels.

CI: name the compositor job "Build and test compositor"
- the ISO builder installs the compositor's dependencies (xorg-xwayland was missing: makepkg stopped before building) - the upgrade test builds SegLinux from this commit (--from-source) instead of installing the older published package Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01GAz5W8XQ7Q7is8VJC6kY4d
