For those with a dedicated GPU make sure to enable discrete graphics for your entire system (do NOT just enable the GPU for Overbar in Windows graphics settings).
cargo run --releaseOverbar requests administrator elevation when it starts so its window manager can
tile and focus elevated applications such as Task Manager. If the UAC prompt is
declined, the bar continues to run but Windows will block control of elevated windows.
The Window Manager Settings panel can create or refresh an Overbar Startup
Scheduled Task that launches the current executable at sign-in with highest
privileges, avoiding subsequent UAC prompts.
Overbar checks the repository's latest GitHub Release in the background. When a newer version is available, the Apps icon and panel show a yellow update marker. The update action downloads and verifies the release executable, replaces Overbar in its current folder, restarts it, and refreshes an existing startup task.
