Hey, I'm Miguel 👋

CS Master's graduate · Database Administrator · Building full-stack, mobile and web projects

Who am I?

I work as a Database Administrator, mostly around Oracle databases, SQL, automation and internal tooling. Looking after production data every day shaped how I write software: schemas that migrate safely, history that can be audited and rebuilt, and tests around the parts that must not break.

Outside of work, I build full-stack, back-end and mobile projects, and I have been exploring AI-assisted development, LLMs, coding agents and developer workflows.

What am I working on?

Keep Dreaming Bot
The Discord bot of a community I'm part of, running 24/7 on Railway. It started as a joke command and now runs the server's League of Legends in-house games: lobbies and ready-checks, role-aware balanced teams, result reporting with admin corrections, and a rating that updates from confirmed results. Built the way I'd want a production service built: a versioned-migration SQLite schema, an audit trail, ratings that can be rebuilt from the stored games, and CI on every push.

Python · discord.py · asyncio · SQLite · OpenSkill · Riot API · Railway

Estrela da Amadora Digital Platform
A full-stack/mobile prototype for a Portuguese football club, focused on match management, memberships, ticket flows and staff/fan workflows.

Flutter · React · TypeScript · FastAPI · PostgreSQL · Supabase

This project is currently on hold and I'm still deciding if I want to finish it or not.

What tools do I use?

Main focus
Python · Java · FastAPI · React · TypeScript · PostgreSQL · SQLite · REST APIs

Engineering practice
pytest · Ruff · Pyright · GitHub Actions · Railway

At work / automation
