The AstroHub is a project that represents my passion for the code and the cosmos. Developed in React and Next.js, this project is a interative landing page about astronomy. My objective is create a unique experience to the enthusiasts of astronomy, space and cosmos.
The project consumes three differents APIs:
- SolarSytem Opendata: Open Source API to search the data about the solar system, numbering planets, asteroids and comets;
- Atronomy Picture of the Day (APOD): NASA's API used to render a new picture based on the atual date;
- SpaceNews API: My own API developed with Express and Node.js used to create the slide with the featured news about the space;
This project was a good challenge to improve my skills and challenge myself.
👨🚀 I've gained proficiency in leveraging the Axios library for handling API requests, enhancing code stability and organization significantly.
⭐ Through this project, I've deepened my expertise in TypeScript, enabling more robust and type-safe code structures.
🪐 Furthermore, I've honed my skills in unit testing using Jest and Testing Library, ensuring the development of secure and optimized code.
🎨 With this project a learn how to do a good use of the Sass with Styled-components to create eficient styles that gives scalability and smooth adaptation to design changes as the project progressed.
Contributions are what make the open source community such an amazing place to learn, inspire, and create. Any contributions you make are greatly appreciated.
